A small team that ships software. Including its own.

Nova Aurisia is a product engineering studio. We design, build, and ship software products — most of them for clients, a few of them for ourselves. We started Nova Aurisia because we wanted to do good engineering work for businesses that actually need it, on a cadence small enough that craft and dates can both win.

What we believe

Software is shipped, not described

Strategy decks and architecture diagrams matter, but only if they end with a product live in production.

Every engagement we run ships something a user touches. We don't sell artefacts; we sell live software.

Software is shipped, not described

Small is a feature

We're a small team on purpose.

The math of careful engineering work doesn't scale to a hundred people without losing the thing that makes it work. We grow slowly and only when a piece of work earns the next hire — never to fill a sales pipeline.

Small is a feature

Honesty travels well

We tell clients when AI isn't the answer, when a feature isn't ready, when a date is going to slip, and when a project isn't the right fit for us.

It's the only way to build a business that compounds on referrals instead of marketing spend.

Honesty travels well

Integration beats replacement

Established businesses run on systems that work.

We integrate with them, build on top of them, and replace only what genuinely needs replacing. Rip-and-replace is rarely the right answer; it just sounds bold in a pitch.

How we work

01.

A team, not a contractor

When you hire Nova Aurisia, you hire the studio — the engineers, designers, and product folks who actually do the work. The same people you meet at kickoff are the people writing the code.

02.

Fixed scope where we can, transparent where we can't

Project work is fixed price and fixed end date. Pods and retainers are scoped weekly. Either way, the scope is in writing and the change-order process is on the SOW before you sign.

03.

Async-first, time-zone friendly

We work async by default — decisions in docs, status in writing, calendars without back-to-back meetings. We sync when sync earns its keep.

The team

A small group of senior engineers and designers. When real names land, this section is honest about who's full-time vs. who's a close collaborator — inflated team pages always get caught.

Bring us a problem you're stuck on.

The first conversation is a working call, not a pitch. Bring the problem and you'll leave with a one-page memo on how we'd approach it.
